Living with Heart Disease
Upon diagnosis of a certain heart disease, there are a lot of things that you need to know. A heart disease is not something that will just go away just like an ordinary fever. It will stay with you for the rest of your life.
Although there are surgical procedures that helps in treating your cardiac problems, keep in mind that these are only for managing and facilitating the blood flow to your system. These procedures do not promise you not to have a heart attack associated with your heart disease.
To be able to live with heart disease, what you need to do is adapt to the situation and make necessary changes in your life style. You have to think positively and face each trial strongly to be able to continue living your life even if you have a heart disease.
Once you already learned that you have a heart disease, you need to limit its progression for you to live a long and fulfilling life. Here are some helpful ways that you can follow to live well even with heart disease.
1 Have a regular visit to your physician. Even though symptoms do not show up, you don’t have to wait for it to visit your cardiologist. As much as possible, visit your physician every week to perform a check up on you.
2 Stick with your drug regimen. Once you are diagnosed with a certain heart disease, maintenance drugs are expected. These drugs and doses should be religiously followed to keep a stable condition. Usually, the drugs prescribed are to maintain a normal blood pressure and to lower down blood cholesterol levels. Never skip doses because this may cause harmful effects to you. Some drugs that are abruptly stopped are likely to cause a rebound effect.
3 Follow your prescribed diet. Heart disease patients are generally under prescribed diet. This means that foods that can aggravate their condition are prohibited or minimized. Usually these foods are those that are high in cholesterol and preservatives.
4 Manage pain attacks. Pain attacks in heart diseases are called angina. Avoid angina by knowing what triggers it and avoiding it. It is advised that you record your angina attacks to keep track of it.

Im living in a poor country in the Philippines and Im also not unlikely poor and I have limited source of income I would like to comment on visiting your physician regularly, I visit my physician when I have money to pay for him and I follow strict diets that he advises me to do in fact its here in this website. Although I dont visit him regularly it seems to me that Im pleased and well-healthed person eventhough I dont visit my physician very often. Sometimes I dont drink medicine because of financial problems but for me its just a matter of discipline and perseverance to sustain and survive in life.
